La cantante galesa Bonnie Tyler lanzó en 1984 el sencillo Holding Out for a Hero desde la banda sonora de la película Footloose. También en aparece en su sexto álbum, Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire (sueños secretos y fuego prohibido).
