En 2007 el actor y director estadounidense Sean Penn dirigió la película Into the wild (Hacia rutas salvajes o Camino salvaje) y le pidió al músico de Pearl Jam Eddie Vedder que hiciese la banda sonora. Una de las canciones más sobresalientes del álbum es Hard Sun.
