El grupo irlandés de hard rock Thin Lizzy lanzó en 1976 uno de sus sencillos emblemáticos, The Boys Are Back in Town. Aparece en su álbum Jailbreak (fuga de la cárcel). Ha sido versionada por una miríada de artistas desde entonces, entre ellos Bon Jovi, The Cardigans, Belle and Sebastian, Happy Mondays, Huey Lewis and The News o Wilco.
