John the Revelator es un gospel tradicional estadounidense. Fue grabado por primera vez en 1930 interpretado por Blind Willie Johnson.
Desde entonces lo han versionado artistas de la talla de John Mellencamp, los Blues Brothers, R.E.M., Frank Black, Nick Cave o Steve Vai. Curtis Stigers la versionó para la banda sonora de la serie de televisión Sons of Anarchy.
