Frankie and Johnny - Canción tradicional

La canción tradicional estadounidense Frankie and Johnny fue publicada por primera vez en 1904. Para la traducción utilizamos la versión de Sam Cooke, aunque centenares de artistas la han cantado y versionado a lo largo del siglo pasado y el actual. Algunos ejemplos: Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, Lindsay Lohan, Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Louis Armstrong, Count Basie o Duke Ellington.

En 1991 se estrenó una película de Hollywood con el mismo título, protagonizada por Al Pacino y Michelle Pfeiffer en la que se hace continua referencia a este tema. Por supuesto, también aparece en la banda sonora.
