La música de la banda californiana Dirty Heads es una exitosa mezcla de reggae, rap y rock. A finales de 2013 lanzaron su tercer álbum, Home - Phantoms of Summer (mi casa - fantasmas de verano). En él aparece esta canción, Garland.
El guitarrista y cantante del grupo, Jared Watson, cuenta que la compuso tras ver a mujer vestida de blanco, con una guirnalda de flores, en su jardín que le impresionó tanto que pensó que podría ayudarle a superar todos sus problemas.
